Alicia McWatters PhD, CNC (1959 - 2003)
Alicia resided in a mountainous region of New Mexico with her family and many animal and bird friends. She had been involved in the caring, breeding, and natural healing of birds since 1987; and the natural feeding and healing of dogs and cats since 1994. Her life-long love of animals led to many years of intense study of animal and bird nutrition. Her doctorate's degree was in nutrition and she was a certified nutritional consultant.
Alicia was a contributing writer for many pet publications. She wrote for the Grey Play Round Table, Animal Wellness, and Bird Talk on the topic of natural avian nutrition and holistic care. She also wrote articles on holistic care for Dog Fancy and Cat Fancy. She published a book on natural bird care entitled "A Guide to a Naturally Healthy Bird" and co-authored the book "Super Nutrition For Animals! Birds Too!
She gave a tremendous amount of her energy to her work. She will be missed by many.
